As a youngster and afterward Taylor was inspired by Halliburton’s proclivity to dare, his tenacity, his love of history and his adventure-laced feats. This fascination carried on even after he graduated as an Electrical Engineer. He never forgot his love of writing and attraction to Halliburton’s convoluted life story. This led to many hours of research and many miles of travel to objectively unearth the true story, warts and all, of the adventurous man who so influenced his own life.
